Legacy Counseling Center was founded in September, 1989, by a group of
psychotherapists and people living with AIDS. The Center has provided care to
hundreds of North Texans affected by HIV and AIDS.
The mission of Legacy is to provide affordable and quality mental health care,
counseling and emotional support to people in the North Texas Area who are
impacted by HIV and AIDS.
A non-profit 501(c)(3) agency partially funded under the Ryan White
C.A.R.E. Act and the State of Texas HIV Services Grant, Legacy offers a variety
of mental health services at its offices on 4054 McKinney Ave., in Dallas and
off-site counseling at the location of any HIV-positive group.
